Actor Kerry Washington stars in the upcoming action film "Shadow Force," which recently screened ahead of its broader release. The movie is scheduled to debut Mother's Day weekend, May 9, 2025.
The film features Washington alongside Omar Sy. It played at the Atlanta Film Festival on April 27, with Washington present for the screening.
During her time at the festival, Washington participated in a conversation where she discussed her roles as a parent and producer, in addition to the new film.."Shadow Force" follows two former shadow operatives forced to go on the run from their old team. They must protect their young son Ky, played by Jahleel Kamara, while evading those pursuing them.
A screening for "Shadow Force" also took place in New York on May 1. Actor Natalia Reyes attended the event at AMC Lincoln Square.
The film is one of several features and shorts showcased at recent festivals, highlighting diverse storytelling perspectives from various filmmakers.
