Unsigned All-Pro safety Justin Simmons is reportedly keen on joining the Philadelphia Eagles for the 2025 NFL season. Reports circulating this week suggest Simmons' strong interest in the franchise.

NFL Media's Brian Baldinger stated Simmons' desire to play in Philadelphia.

This follows Simmons' own comments during the 2025 NFL free agency period, where he identified the Eagles as high on his wish list of prospective teams.

Simmons cited the potential to reunite with defensive coordinator Vic Fangio and defensive backs coach Christian Parker, both of whom he worked with previously. He called the opportunity to play in Philadelphia, especially reuniting with those coaches, high on his list in an interview with the Talkin' Ball podcast.

Simmons, 31, played the 2024 season with the Atlanta Falcons, starting 16 games. Before that, he spent his entire career with the Denver Broncos. The four-time All-Pro has recorded multiple interceptions in each of his nine professional seasons.

The Eagles recently drafted safety Andrew Mukuba in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft. The team also traded veteran safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson during the offseason. Mukuba is currently expected to compete for a starting role alongside fourth-year player Reed Blankenship and young reserve Sydney Brown. Despite the draft pick, Simmons represents a veteran option with a track record of production and familiarity with Fangio's defensive scheme from their time together in Denver.
