Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill named his top five quarterbacks in the National Football League during a recent appearance, but did not include his own team's signal-caller, Tua Tagovailoa.

Hill listed Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Baker Mayfield, and Joe Burrow among his current top passers in no specific order.

The exclusion contrasts with Hill's past vocal support for Tagovailoa since joining the Dolphins, including previously calling him the NFL's most accurate quarterback.

The list follows an offseason during which Hill has drawn attention for reasons beyond his play. Following the team's final game last season, Hill made comments suggesting he was "out," though he later characterized the remarks as frustration.

The Miami Dolphins finished last season with an 8-9 record and missed the playoffs. Tagovailoa appeared in 11 games, totaling 2,867 passing yards and 19 touchdowns while dealing with injuries. In the 2023 season, Tagovailoa led the NFL in passing yards with 4,624.

Hill, a five-time All-Pro, had a down year by his standards in 2024, recording 81 receptions for 959 yards and six touchdowns after averaging over 1,700 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns in the prior two seasons.

Hill is under contract for two more seasons on a three-year deal, while Tagovailoa is beginning a four-year contract next season.

The omission has generated discussion regarding Hill's perspective on his team's quarterback.
