Philadelphia Eagles player Cooper DeJean reacted after sports personality Kay Adams mentioned him during interviews at the Kentucky Derby over the weekend. DeJean, attending the event as he transitioned from his rookie season, was told Adams expressed interest in spending time with him.

Upon hearing Adams’ name, DeJean reportedly seemed surprised but quickly stated he was agreeable to the idea. His reaction circulated online following the exchange at the annual horse racing event in Kentucky.

Kay Adams is known for hosting the sports program "Up & Adams," which airs weekdays on FanDuel TV. She was among several media personalities and athletes present at the Derby, which featured the 151st running of the race won by Sovereignty.

DeJean's appearance at the Kentucky Derby followed his first season with the Eagles. The former Iowa defensive back played a role for the team, including in their run to Super Bowl LIX.

During Super Bowl LIX, DeJean recorded his first career interception returned for a touchdown, helping the Eagles secure a victory against the Kansas City Chiefs. Other plays in the game included a late interception by linebacker Zack Baun.

When asked about meeting celebrities at the Derby, DeJean stated he wanted to connect with tight end Rob Gronkowski. He called Gronkowski "always a good time." DeJean also named Eagles safety Reed Blankenship as the NFL's most underrated player.

DeJean is expected to see an increased role in the upcoming season, potentially competing for a starting position after the team parted ways with veteran Darius Slay. The Philadelphia Eagles have retained other defensive players, including picking up the fifth-year option on Jordan Davis and signing Zack Baun to a multi-year deal.

DeJean's romantic status was also noted, with reports indicating he is dating Steph Wilfawn, who attended games during his rookie season.
