Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy issued a strong rebuke Sunday after an antisemitic sign appeared at a Barstool-branded bar in Philadelphia. The incident drew immediate backlash from Portnoy and others associated with the media company.

The sign, which carried an anti-Jewish message, was reportedly displayed at the Barstool Sansom Street location in Philadelphia's Center City neighborhood. Reports indicate the sign was seen held by waitstaff at the bar.

Portnoy, who is Jewish, posted a video expressing his outrage upon learning of the sign. He described feeling shaken and angry, stating he was tracking down information about those involved.

The company has fired two waitresses Portnoy identified as holding the sign. Portnoy stated he was also seeking the identities of patrons associated with the sign, promising consequences.

He described efforts to gather details on the incident, including speaking with individuals who may have recorded or shared images of the sign. He demanded accountability from those involved.

The incident follows Portnoy's previous stance against antisemitism. Last month, he attended a UFC event waving an Israel flag during a fight involving Bryce Mitchell, a fighter who had made antisemitic and Holocaust denial statements.

Barstool employees voiced support for Portnoy and condemned the sign. Barstool college football creator Kayce Smith called the act sickening.

Barstool gambling content creator Rico Bosco described the act as "'horrifically hateful by these people who did it and those who allowed it. No place in the world for this. Horrific."
