Actress Jennie Garth's youngest daughter, Fiona Facinelli, has revealed she has only watched a portion of her mother's long-running hit television series, Beverly Hills, 90210. Fiona, 18, admitted during a recent interview that she has only viewed "some" of the show.
Speaking alongside her mother on the set of a photoshoot for a magazine's World's Most Beautiful issue, Fiona Facinelli clarified she watched the first season of the popular '90s drama. Jennie Garth, 53, noted that nine seasons remain for her daughter to see, adding, "It gets good!"
Fiona expressed admiration for her mother's character, Kelly Taylor, citing the pilot episode scene in a convertible as a favorite moment that provided inspiration. She also shared that seeing her mother on screen at the same age she is now felt "really interesting."
Garth's wardrobe from her time on Beverly Hills, 90210 has also become a point of connection for the mother and daughter. Fiona Facinelli recently wore a vintage dress and cowboy boots from her mother's collection for the photoshoot, admitting she had previously borrowed the boots without permission for the Coachella music festival.
The actress says she keeps few items from her past work but enjoys sharing her current closet with Fiona and her two older daughters, Luca, 27, and Lola, 22. She finds seeing Fiona in the 90210 outfit emotional, describing it as a "time machine."
Garth, who co-hosts a 90210 rewatch podcast, mentioned that watching the show again has given her a new appreciation for her younger self navigating an adult environment while filming. She noted her younger self had a "baby voice" compared to now.
Reflecting on her experiences, Garth stated she feels fortunate for the opportunities she has had. Seeing Fiona at the same age she was when the show began prompted her to think about her own journey.
She expressed excitement for her daughters' futures, stating she is eager to see where they eventually pursue their careers and lives.
"Just today I was looking at Fiona in the makeup chair earlier and I thought, ‘Oh my gosh, that was me at her age.’ And what a life I've lived and all the opportunities that I've had," Jennie Garth said.
