Rapper and actor Bow Wow confirmed he is in a relationship with Jade Pinkett, niece of Jada Pinkett Smith, according to reports. He discussed the relationship and the possibility of marriage during a recent podcast appearance.
Relationship rumors began several months ago when Pinkett shared a photo of the pair celebrating New Year's.
Appearing on the Club Shay Shay podcast, Bow Wow, whose real name is Shad Moss, stated he initially tried to keep the relationship private. However, he shared his perspective on posting the photo, noting Pinkett wanted to share it.
He explained that he felt she wanted to "show off and show me off." He decided to let her share the moment, adding, "She looks beautiful; I look good. It's a moment."
Bow Wow did repost the photo but chose not to tag Pinkett to maintain some privacy. He mentioned his social media pages are primarily for his fans and work. He said followers wanting to see Pinkett should check her page. "You want to see my girl, go to her page," he said.
The duration of the relationship is not clear, but the two have talked about marriage.
"Me and her, we've had these talks," Bow Wow said on the podcast. He added, "I'm not against anything, but when I get to that point, or if I ever do get to that point, I want to make sure I'm right." He described this as a commitment to both his partner and to God.
He indicated he does not want to over-plan future steps. "Let's just roll, baby," he stated, adding, "If it gets there, it gets there."
Bow Wow also reflected on his past dating history with women like Ciara. He said he has "calmed down."
He expressed support for his former partners. "I'm really, truly happy for them to move on and watch them live out their dreams and things that they always wanted to do." He added, "It coulda been the things that I couldn't offer at that time. I'm genuinely happy for everybody because it seems like everybody's happy. Everybody won at the end of the day."
