The Auburn softball team was eliminated from the SEC Softball Tournament 2025 on Tuesday evening, falling 3-2 to in-state rival Alabama in the first round. The loss ended Auburn's tournament run and means the team will await the NCAA selection show to determine its postseason fate.

Auburn entered the tournament as the 15th seed. Their record stands at 32-22 overall after the defeat, with a 6-18 mark in SEC play this season.

Auburn mounted a challenge in the sixth inning, getting the first two runners on base. Icess Tresvik hit a sacrifice fly to pull Auburn within a run at 3-2. However, pinch runner Thalia Martin was thrown out tagging from second on the same play, ending the inning.

The Tigers could not push another run across in the seventh. Their focus now shifts to NCAA Tournament selection Sunday. The field will be revealed on Sunday, May 11.
