Tiffany Haddish, the actress and comedian known for her roles in films like Girls Trip and television shows such as The Afterparty, had a moment of physical comedy while co-hosting the NBC morning program Today with Jenna & Friends.
Haddish joined host Jenna Bush Hager for two days this week. The incident occurred Thursday morning as the pair walked onto the set.
As Bush Hager introduced Haddish, she tripped over a small metal table positioned near the main seating area. The table flipped over during the stumble.
Haddish quickly recovered, laughing and responding, "Clumsy, I'm clumsy!"
Bush Hager pointed out the table was likely "in the wrong place."
Haddish humorously questioned, "Yes, who put this table here?! Out of my sight?"
Bush Hager noted it was the first time furniture had fallen over on the show.
Despite the brief mishap, Haddish stated she enjoyed her time co-hosting. "I had so much fun yesterday. I love being here with you," she told Bush Hager, who agreed.
Haddish suggested they were now friends and should work together regularly, appealing to network executives.
Bush Hager has featured a rotation of celebrity co-hosts since Hoda Kotb's departure from the segment in January.
Following the appearance, some viewers suggested Haddish should become a permanent co-host. Haddish commented on social media about her experience.
"I will say this and I don’t say things like this often but hands down," she wrote on Instagram. "I would work with Jenna doing ANYTHING seriously! I feel like we should have been childhood friends but God has a plan and I am obedient. We are friends now and that is all that matters to me." (Source)
