British singer-songwriter Tom Odell released a new single, “Don’t Let Me Go,” on April 25, 2025. It represents his first new music this year and precedes a forthcoming full-length album.

The track, recorded at London’s RAK studios, offers a preview of the musical direction following his 2024 album, Black Friday. It features a prominent band sound, including guitars and a waltz drum beat, differing from the heavier string arrangements on the previous album.

Lyrically, “Don’t Let Me Go” explores themes of devotion and the challenges faced within a relationship, set against a backdrop of global uncertainty. Phrases like "you touch me and I fall apart" echo themes found in his earlier work.

The song’s structure builds to a chorus that incorporates heartbreaking imagery, touching on the perceived fragility of the world.

Tom Odell described the emotional undercurrent of the song, noting, “The sense, almost every week, that the world is ending in some capacity — which it is, for some people.”

The release coincides with Odell’s touring schedule. He is currently performing across Europe as an opener for Billie Eilish.

Later this summer, he is scheduled to join The Lumineers for performances in U.S. arenas. Odell also plans a full international tour in the fall.

His previous album, Black Friday, achieved placement on Spotify’s Top Album Debut Chart. A past hit, “Another Love,” originally released in 2012, gained renewed attention on social media platforms, accumulating billions of plays. Listeners can stream the single now or find artist information on his website. Tour dates and ticket information are available.

Tom Odell continues to connect with audiences through songwriting that presents vulnerable emotional perspectives.
