Pearl Jam launched their 2025 Dark Matter Tour with two performances at Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood in Hollywood, Florida. The shows took place on Thursday, April 25, and Saturday, April 26.

The band performed a mix of songs from their newest album, "Dark Matter," alongside earlier material and cover songs. Dead Pioneers opened both nights.

The first night's setlist included tracks such as "Oceans," "Why Go," "React, Respond," "Crazy Mary," "Alive," "Even Flow," and "Porch." Covers included The Byrds' "So You Want to Be a Rock 'n' Roll Star" and The Who's "Baba O'Riley."

For the second performance, the band delivered a different selection of songs, including "Release," "Of the Girl," "Given to Fly," "Jeremy," "Black," "Immortality," and "Yellow Ledbetter." Jeff Ament joined Dead Pioneers on stage during their opening set Saturday.

Eddie Vedder, Mike McCready, Matt Cameron, and Stone Gossard were featured throughout the concerts. Vedder interacted with the audience and shared stories during the shows.

Vedder spoke about past experiences in Florida and mentioned memories related to artists Jimmy Buffett and Tom Petty. During the first show, he played a solo version of Petty's "I Won't Back Down" on a guitar given to him by the late musician.

Concertgoers for both nights filled the venue, described as featuring an energetic atmosphere. The Saturday performance was sold out.

The Dark Matter Tour continues with dates scheduled in Atlanta, Nashville, Tennessee, Raleigh, North Carolina, and Pittsburgh.

Regarding the guitar he used for the Tom Petty cover, Vedder said, "I only take this guitar out on special occasions, you see. but knowing we were all coming down to Florida, I took it with me. This guitar, this was given to me by our friend Tom Petty. And even though he may be gone, it feels like he's here."
