Tennis icon Serena Williams attended the 2025 Met Gala on Monday, appearing in an off-the-shoulder icy blue Moncler gown paired with a dramatic quilted wrap. The dress featured a swirling design.
Williams walked the carpet with Edward Enninful. Her husband Alexis Ohanian was not present at the event. The athlete posed for photographers upon arrival.
The Met Gala event this year honored the exhibit titled "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style." The exhibit drew inspiration from Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book, Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity.
This appearance continues Williams' history at the yearly fashion event. She first attended in 2004 and has been a regular guest over two decades when her tennis schedule permitted. She also co-hosted the gala in 2019.
Since she retired from tennis in 2022, Williams has attended the Met Gala more often. She has previously attended while expecting both of her daughters. Williams stated attending pregnant holds a special place in her heart.
