While rapper Cardi B recently made headlines for her dramatic look at the Met Gala, her personal life has drawn attention following comments on Twitter Spaces about a new boyfriend. The artist described being very happy with a "gorgeous n—ga" in comments made Sunday, April 27.
Since rising to prominence with her album Invasion of Privacy, Cardi B has frequently been in the public eye. Speculation linking her to New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs has circulated for months.
The two were reportedly seen together in Miami around Valentine's Day weekend earlier this year. More recent sightings included Cardi B and Stefon Diggs at Coachella, according to a report by People.
The report also noted a video circulating of the musician giving Diggs a lap dance at a nightclub, to which her estranged husband, Offset, reportedly reacted positively. Cardi B filed for divorce from Offset in August 2024.
The rumored relationship faced new scrutiny this week when Instagram model Skymarlenee posted alleged direct messages between her and Stefon Diggs. Skymarlenee claimed the messages show she and Diggs had been communicating for some time. In one post, she stated, "Enough pretending."
Fans online quickly connected Skymarlenee's posts to previous comments made by Cardi B on social media about women who are "playing sneaky."
The public attention comes as Stefon Diggs is involved in legal matters. According to KHOU 11, the NFL player filed a lawsuit earlier this year against Brianna "Brii" Mack and Mia Jones, also known as reality star Mulan Hernandez.
Diggs is seeking damages in the lawsuit, alleging assault, threats, and property destruction during an incident last June. He accuses the women of attempting to intimidate and extort him.
Neither Cardi B nor Stefon Diggs have issued public statements addressing the posts made by Skymarlenee. The New England Patriots organization has also remained silent on the matter.
Speaking on Twitter Spaces on April 27, Cardi B commented on her private life, stating, “It’s been a couple of weeks and I haven’t addressed nothing. Because it’s like… you know when you got a gorgeous n—ga f–king you and loving you from head to toe? It’s like, I don’t really give a f–k what anybody says when you got a real fine n—ga that love you from head to toe. It’s like, whatever, gorgeous n—ga too!”
