Tesla is providing discounts on its Cybertruck vehicle, according to recent reports. The move comes as the company holds a surplus of 2024 models.
Sales of the Tesla Cybertruck have reportedly been slower than initial projections. This has contributed to an increase in inventory that the manufacturer seeks to reduce.
Discounts apply to specific models currently available. Buyers can receive $10,000 off the price of a Foundation Series Cybertruck.
A discount of $10,550 is available for the Non-Foundation Series Cybertruck. Those who purchase a Foundation Series model are also eligible for free lifetime Supercharging.
Beyond these inventory reductions, additional incentives may apply. The 2025 Cybertruck qualifies for a $7,500 federal tax credit when buyers file taxes, provided the purchase price is $69,990 or less.
Businesses purchasing a new Cybertruck may claim a Section 179 Deduction. Up to $31,300 can be deducted if the vehicle is used for legitimate business purposes at least 50% of the time. Reviewing IRS guidelines and consulting a tax advisor is recommended for details on requirements and limitations.
State and local utility incentives may also offer savings for electric vehicle buyers. These can sometimes mean a price reduction at purchase or a rebate claimed later. Information on rebates available can vary by location. Researching opportunities for buying a Tesla EV could save money.
Sources indicate that the standard 2024 Cybertruck was priced at $81,985. The Cyberbeast version was listed at $101,985, and the Foundation Series carried a price of $121,985, as reported earlier.
