Paris Saint-Germain defeated Arsenal 2-1 on Wednesday, securing a 3-1 aggregate victory in their UEFA Champions League semifinal and advancing to the final match.

The French club will face Inter Milan in the championship game in Munich on May 31. Inter eliminated Barcelona in the other semifinal tie, winning 7-6 on aggregate.

Arsenal started the second leg strongly at the Parc des Princes, creating several early chances. Goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma made multiple saves, including denying Martin Ødegaard's half-volley and Gabriel Martinelli's low shot. Declan Rice also headed narrowly wide.

Against the flow of play, PSG took the lead in the 27th minute. Following a set piece, Thomas Partey's header inadvertently set up Fabián Ruiz, who controlled the ball and struck a shot past Arsenal keeper David Raya.

PSG had opportunities to extend their lead, including Khvicha Kvaratskhelia hitting the post. Désiré Doué also had a chance saved by Raya.

The home side was awarded a penalty in the second half after Myles Lewis-Skelly was judged to have handled the ball. However, Vitinha's spot kick was saved by Raya in the 69th minute, keeping Arsenal's hopes alive.

Just minutes later, Achraf Hakimi doubled PSG's advantage in the 72nd minute after combining with Ousmane Dembélé, who had come off the bench. Hakimi's finish put the aggregate score at 3-1.

Bukayo Saka pulled a goal back for Arsenal in the 76th minute from a tight angle after a deflection. Arsenal pushed to find a route back into the contest but fell short of reaching their first Champions League final since 2006.
