Mississippi wide receiver Jordan Watkins recently visited with the San Francisco 49ers as the 2025 NFL Draft approaches. Watkins is among several players from Ole Miss Football hoping to be selected next week.
Watkins traveled to California for the visit on April 16. He posted a photo from Levi Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers.
Current projections place Watkins in the sixth to seventh round on Day 3 of the draft. Some mock drafts list the 49ers as a potential destination for the receiver.
The 49ers are evaluating options for their receiver group. Reports indicate potential changes involving established players like Deebo Samuel, which could create opportunities for new additions.
Watkins improved his draft standing following the 2025 NFL Combine in Indianapolis. He recorded a 4.37 40-yard dash, a 36.5-inch vertical jump, and a 9-foot-11 broad jump.
During his college career, Watkins played two seasons for Louisville before finishing his eligibility at Ole Miss. Over five seasons, he totaled 2,682 receiving yards on 185 catches, averaging 14.5 yards per catch. He scored 18 touchdowns.
A notable performance came in 2024 against Arkansas. Watkins set a program record with 8 catches for 258 yards and 5 touchdowns in that game.
