Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell continues his rehabilitation process following a serious knee injury sustained late last season. Head Coach DeMeco Ryans provided an update Monday, stating Dell is making positive progress.

Ryans characterized Dell's status as being "in a really good spot" with his recovery. The coach reported regular contact with the receiver, noting Dell maintains a positive attitude toward his rehabilitation work.

Dell suffered the injury on December 21. It involved a torn ACL, MCL, and a dislocated kneecap during a game against the Kansas City Chiefs. The injury ended his rookie season prematurely.

Despite the positive update on his progress, Ryans did not provide a specific date for Dell's return to the field. He emphasized that the team will not rush the receiver back before he is fully ready.

"He'll back when it's time for Tank to be back," Ryans said Monday, according to a league news report. "There's nothing to rush."

The Texans have addressed the wide receiver position this offseason, adding veteran Christian Kirk and selecting two receivers in the recent draft. These moves provide depth while Dell works toward recovery.

The focus remains on Dell completing his rehab effectively. Ryans stated the goal is for Dell to return when he is prepared to play at his previous level.

Speaking about Dell's return, Ryans told reporters, "We need Tank back when Tank is ready to be Tank, and that’s good enough for me," per a Pro Football Talk report.
