BALTIMORE (AP) Ryan Mountcastle and Ramón Urías homered to help power the Baltimore Orioles to a 5-4 victory over the New York Yankees on Wednesday night. The win secured the series for the Orioles, taking two of three games from the AL East leaders.

Baltimore also won the series opener on Monday, holding on for a 4-3 victory. That game saw Ryan O'Hearn hit a three-run homer. Tomoyuki Sugano pitched five scoreless innings for his third win, and Félix Bautista earned his fourth save.

In Wednesday's finale, the Orioles built a lead after Mountcastle's two-run shot tied the game and Urías followed with a solo drive. Adley Rutschman added an RBI single in the four-run second inning.

The New York Yankees kept the pressure on. Aaron Judge continued his strong hitting, recording three more hits including a two-run homer. Paul Goldschmidt added a fifth-inning home run for New York.

Baltimore's bullpen was active in the 5-4 win, using six relievers. Bryan Baker earned the victory, his second of the season. Félix Bautista pitched a perfect ninth inning, securing his fifth save.

Carlos Carrasco took the loss for the Yankees on Wednesday, allowing four runs over 3 1/3 innings. Will Warren received the loss for New York in Monday's contest.

The Orioles Score came through in key moments during the series. While they lost the middle game by a significant margin, their ability to win the bookend games by one run each allowed them to claim the series win against a division rival.

Benches cleared briefly in the fourth inning Wednesday after a play at second base involving Baltimore's Heston Kjerstad and New York's Pablo Reyes, but order was quickly restored. Ramón Laureano made a sliding catch in the seventh inning for the Orioles, limiting a Yankees threat.

Both teams have a day off Thursday. The Yankees return home to face Tampa Bay on Friday, while the Orioles will host Kansas City.
