The Colorado Eagles defeated the San Jose Barracuda 6-3 on Friday night to take a 1-0 lead in their Pacific Division semifinal series in the AHL Playoffs.

The best-of-five series continues Sunday in San Jose before shifting to Colorado for Game 3.

Jayson Megna recorded two goals and an assist, and Tye Felhaber added a goal and two assists for the Eagles. Trent Miner made 25 saves in his first career AHL postseason start, including a stop late in the third period on Filip Bystedt.

Bystedt scored a shorthanded goal for the Barracuda. Collin Graf and Colin White also scored, cutting a three-goal deficit to one late in the final period. Yaroslav Askarov stopped 18 of 22 shots.

The Barracuda hosted a playoff game at Tech CU Arena for the first time. Their previous home postseason game was in 2019 at the SAP Center.

Colorado finished the regular season nearly two weeks ago and entered the postseason rested. The Eagles earned a victory in their Calder Cup Playoffs opener on the road.
