The series concluded Saturday with Sam Houston winning 2-1 in walk-off fashion in the bottom of the ninth inning.Parker Blackman hit a single with two outs in the ninth inning to score two runs and secure the win for Sam Houston.

The series results impact the CUSA standings as teams compete for tournament berths. Following the sweep, Liberty stands at 26-22 overall and 7-14 in CUSA play. Sam Houston improved to 12-36 overall and 6-15 in conference.Sam Houston outhit Liberty in the series, including a 10-5 advantage in hits in Saturday's game. Liberty hitters struck out only three times in the first game of the doubleheader.

Pitching performances included Sam Houston's Ryan Peterson's scoreless outing in game two and Felix Schlede's win in game three. Liberty's Ben Blair leads CUSA in innings pitched.

The sweep marks a setback for Liberty University in conference play with six games remaining in the regular season.
