The No. 4 Oklahoma Sooners clinched their Red River Rivalry series against the No. 3 Texas Longhorns with a 7-2 win Saturday. The victory secured Oklahoma's fourth series win of the season and third against a ranked opponent.

The OU Softball score in Game 2 saw pitcher Kierston Deal deliver a complete game performance for the Sooners. Texas scored two runs in the final inning, but Deal closed out the contest.

Oklahoma's offense provided support throughout Game 2. Third baseman Nelly McEnroe-Marinas hit a home run and combined with left fielder Abby Dayton for five runs batted in. Dayton recorded a season-high three RBIs.

The series opener on Friday also went to the Sooners, who won 7-6 in front of a record crowd at Love's Field.

Saturday's game time was adjusted from the original 11 a.m. start. Due to anticipated inclement weather, the game was pushed back to a 6:30 p.m. first pitch.

Changes included the game being streamed on SEC Network Plus instead of being televised on ESPN2. Information regarding tickets originally distributed for Saturday remained valid for the updated time.
