Wide receiver Kayden Dixon-Wyatt from Santa Ana, California, committed to Ohio State on Sunday. The Mater Dei High School standout announced his decision from a final list of schools that included Ohio State, Oregon, USC, Alabama, and Texas.

Leading up to the announcement, recruiting analysts indicated that Ohio State, Oregon, and USC were the primary contenders for his commitment. Dixon-Wyatt had considered official visits to all five programs.

He cited his relationships with Ohio State coaches Brian Hartline and Ryan Day as factors in his choice. The program's history of developing receivers for the professional level also played a role. Dixon-Wyatt plays at Mater Dei High School, a program that consistently produces college football talent. He is a teammate of fellow Ohio State commit, wide receiver Chris Henry Jr., who is also in the 2026 class.

His commitment adds to Ohio State's recruiting efforts for the 2026 cycle. The class includes Henry Jr., Jaeden Ricketts, and Brock Boyd at the wide receiver position. The Buckeyes' class ranks third nationally and second within the Big Ten Conference, according to 247Sports.
