Reece Potter, a 7-foot-1 center, has committed to join the Kentucky basketball program through the transfer portal. Potter spent the last two seasons playing at Miami of Ohio.

Potter played in 56 combined games during his two years with the RedHawks. He averaged 6.5 points and 3.7 rebounds in 17.1 minutes per game last season.

The center shot 46.6% from the field and 36.7% from the 3-point range in 2024-25. As a freshman, Potter started 11 games and averaged 6.0 points and 3.0 rebounds in 14.2 minutes.

Before his college career, Potter played locally at Lexington Catholic High School. He was a finalist for the 2023 Kentucky Mr. Basketball award.

Potter averaged 17.9 points and 8.7 rebounds as a high school senior. He led Lexington Catholic to a 32-3 record and a district championship.

Potter becomes the sixth addition for Kentucky basketball from the transfer portal this offseason under coach Mark Pope. Previous transfers include Jayden Quaintance and Denzel Aberdeen.

The current projected roster for Kentucky includes several returning players and incoming freshmen like Jasper Johnson and Malachi Moreno.
