The National Women’s Soccer League is relocating its headquarters to Midtown Manhattan. The league signed a lease for space at 551 Fifth Avenue.
The new office is located in the landmarked Fred D. French Building. The lease was signed with the Feil Organization.
The move represents an expansion for the NWSL. The league is currently headquartered at 292 Madison Avenue.
The new space encompasses 21,000 square feet. This is double the size of the league's previous headquarters.
The office will occupy a full floor in the building. The asking rent for the space was $58 per square foot.
Relocating to 551 Fifth Avenue places the NWSL headquarters near the offices of other major sports organizations. The NFL and MLB also have headquarters in the Midtown area.
The National Women’s Soccer League business news signals growth for the league. Details of the move were reported Saturday.
