Chelsea FC has announced a multi-year partnership with Ticketmaster, designating the company as the club’s official ticketing partner. The agreement aims to implement a new digital ticketing system starting with the 2025/26 season.

For some time, the club’s ticketing operations have faced challenges. The current system relies heavily on paper tickets, lacks control over resales, and utilizes an online waiting room and exchange process that is often difficult to use.

These issues have made securing tickets difficult for many club members unless they held season tickets, purchased costly hospitality packages, or resorted to using touts.

The new partnership with Ticketmaster is intended to modernize the process. Digital tickets are planned to offer a smoother, safer experience for supporters.

The club expects the technology to provide a revamped, user-friendly backend for both initial sales and resales. This is intended to prioritize fans and help address the issue of ticket touts.

Club officials stated that Ticketmaster’s digital tickets incorporate security features designed to ensure fan safety when purchasing Chelsea tickets for games. Reports on the agreement surfaced earlier this week. Kieran Gill of The Daily Mail reported the deal.

The transition to digital ticketing represents a step forward for the club's operations and fan experience. The partnership with a global ticketing platform aims to bring best-in-class products to Stamford Bridge.

Casper Stylsvig, Chief Revenue Officer at Chelsea FC, commented on the collaboration.

“We are delighted to welcome Ticketmaster to the club at a crucial time, as we move towards digital ticketing for the 2025/26 season," Stylsvig said. "Partnering with a leading force in the industry brings value to our operations, ensuring we offer our fans a smoother, safer experience with best-in-class products, while continuing to address the issue of ticket touts. We are excited to begin working together and look forward to getting started.”
