Los Angeles Sparks player Cameron Brink, who is recovering from an ACL injury, honored her mother, Michelle Bain-Brink, ahead of Mother's Day. Brink shared a tribute highlighting her mother's support throughout her basketball career and during her rehabilitation.

A video montage was featured on The Click Clack podcast showcasing Michelle Bain-Brink alongside Cameron Brink at various points, including her time at Stanford, appearances with Team USA, and after the ACL injury. Brink reposted the video on her social media, adding the message, "Best mom ever." The video's caption noted the love and sacrifice mothers provide for athletes.

Michelle Bain-Brink was a college basketball player herself at Virginia Tech and later held an executive position at Nike. She fostered Cameron's development without forcing her into the sport, believing athletes must want it themselves. Michelle is also godmother to Steph and Seth Curry; their mother is Sonya Curry.

Michelle Bain-Brink's support has been a constant, particularly since Brink tore her ACL in June 2024 during a game against the Connecticut Sun. This injury ended her rookie WNBA season. Brink is currently undergoing rehabilitation and is expected to return to the court in June 2025.

As Brink prepares for her return, the Los Angeles Sparks are also looking ahead to the 2025 season. The team finished with the league's worst record last year but anticipates improvement with a new head coach and roster additions like Kelsey Plum. Brink has expressed optimism about the team, citing a new offensive system and competitive players including Dearica Hamby and Rickea Jackson.

Before her injury, Brink demonstrated defensive capabilities, averaging 2.3 blocks per game in 15 contests. Her return could provide a boost to the team's defense.

In another gesture acknowledging the upcoming holiday, WNBA star Cameron Brink wears all-black top while showing off fancy necklace. She posted a video displaying a necklace she plans to give her mother.

Michelle Bain-Brink offered simple, supportive words during her daughter's recovery.

"With you for every step baby girl."
