Mets starter Griffin Canning allowed one run on three hits over six innings, leaving with the lead. Huascar Brazobán followed Canning and pitched a clean seventh inning.

Edwin Díaz closed out the game for the Mets in the ninth inning. After Alek Thomas reached on an infield single, he was caught stealing second base. Díaz then retired the next two batters to finalize the win..The Arizona Diamondbacks and New York Mets continue their series. The win improved the Mets' record to 23-12, keeping them second in the National League standings.
