McCullough, returning to Los Angeles for the first time as Miami's skipper, said the moment was special. He thanked the Dodgers organization and manager Dave Roberts for the gesture.
Roberts, who won the World Series in 2020 and 2024, described McCullough as a valuable contributor to the Dodgers' championship season. He noted McCullough's impact on Ohtani, who completed a 50/50 season in 2024.
