The Chicago White Sox defeated the visiting Houston Astros 5-4 Sunday in a game cut short by rain. The contest at Rate Field ended after six and a half innings.

A rain delay halted play during the Seventh-Inning Stretch. After a wait of one hour and 20 minutes, officials called the game.

The White Sox trailed 4-0 earlier in the contest. They scored five runs to take the lead before the game was stopped.

Luis Robert Jr. hit a base hit in the sixth inning that tied the score.

Edgar Quero followed with an RBI single in the bottom of the sixth, driving in Robert Jr. for the go-ahead run.

This marks the second rain-shortened victory for the White Sox this season. They previously beat the Twins 3-0 in a seven-inning game on April 24.

In other team news, the Chicago White Sox recently played a series against the Oakland Athletics, including a walk-off win for the Athletics.

Luis Urías hit the walk-off for the Athletics. Athletics pitcher Luis Severino also spoke after a game in that series.
