NASCAR Cup Series driver Chase Elliott holds fourth position in the points standings despite a 37-race winless streak in points-paying events. The run without a victory extends back to April 2024 at Texas Motor Speedway.

Elliott's consistency contrasts with the lack of trips to Victory Lane. Through the season's early races, he is the only competitor to finish in the top 20 in every event. This run includes several top-five and top-10 results.

However, the absence of victories or stage wins has drawn comment. Insider Jordan Bianchi noted the win tally compared to other organizations, stating the Wood Brothers team holds more wins than Elliott since the start of the 2023 season. Elliott also trails Hendrick Motorsports teammates Kyle Larson and William Byron in laps led.

Elliott has acknowledged the situation, expressing that he and his team believe they are capable of more. High expectations remain for the 2020 series champion.

He has described his outlook on the season as a sense of glass half-full, glass half-empty. While runs like top-fours at Circuit of the Americas and Martinsville offer encouragement, the team seeks stronger performances.

The team's preparation has allowed them to recover from incidents during races, contributing to maintaining their string of solid finishes. Still, winning remains the objective.

Jordan Bianchi also stated the team is under scrutiny due to not meeting expectations, despite their strong point standing.

Elliott stated prior to the recent Texas race, "The season is still very early... I've seen enough high spots to kind of give me hope."
