An elementary school in Southlake was evacuated Friday following an anonymous bomb threat, according to authorities.

Old Union Elementary School at 1050 S. Carroll Ave. was cleared as a precaution while law enforcement and firefighters investigated the threat.

Students were transported by bus from the school to the Carroll ISD administration building located at 2400 N. Carroll Ave.

The Southlake Department of Public Safety stated no explosive devices were located on the campus after a search.

The investigation into the origin and nature of the threat remains ongoing.

Carroll ISD officials confirmed that all other district campuses, including the administration building serving as the reunification site, were placed in a "secure" status. This protocol keeps exterior doors locked but allows activities to continue inside the building.

Visitors were not permitted on campuses during the secure status.

Information regarding reunification procedures for Old Union families was expected to be communicated directly by the school district.

Additional details about who made the anonymous threat or whether any device was involved were not immediately released by authorities (Source). The Southlake Department of Public Safety provided information throughout the incident (Source).
