The field of competitors on American Idol has narrowed as the show approaches its season finale. Following recent eliminations, only 10 singers remain in contention for the title.
Last week, four contestants departed the competition, two each night, based on audience voting. This included the season's first platinum ticket winner, Filo, who was eliminated along with Ché.
The remaining singers competing for a spot in the next round are Canaan James Hill, Gabby Samone, Mattie Pruitt, Thunderstorm Artis, Slater Nalley, Breanna Nix, John Foster, Kolbi Jordan, Josh King, and Jamal Roberts.
These finalists will perform tonight, Sunday, May 4, in an episode celebrating Iconic Women of Music. Miranda Lambert is scheduled to make an appearance as a guest. The goal for the contestants is to earn enough votes to advance into the Top 8.
The competition continues Monday, May 5, with the "Judge's Song Contest" episode.
The season schedule includes a TBA episode airing Sunday, May 11, before the Season 23 finale on Sunday, May 18.
Episodes air Sunday and Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. Viewers can watch the show live on their local ABC network or stream it the following day. Episodes are available to stream on Hulu.
Voting for favorite contestants can be done in three ways. Options include voting on the American Idol website, through the American Idol app, or by SMS text. Viewers can cast votes via a browser at AmericanIdol.com/Vote. The American Idol app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store for iOS devices or the Google Play store for Android devices. Text voting involves sending the contestant's keyword to 21523.
Judges for Season 23 are Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan, and Carrie Underwood.
