The Last Of Us Episode 4 of the show’s second season airs Sunday, May 4, following events earlier in the season. The episode will be available at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on HBO and for streaming on Max.

The television series, based on a popular video game, returned for its second season last month.

The season’s second episode depicted the death of lead character Joel Miller, played by Pedro Pascal. This event shapes the narrative focus for subsequent episodes.

Last week’s episode showed the aftermath of Joel’s death. Ellie, played by Bella Ramsey, responds to the loss.

Characters like Tommy, played by Gabriel Luna, and Gail, played by Catherine O'Hara, appear in scenes dealing with the impact of the death.

Ellie and Dina, played by Isabela Merced, leave the settlement in Jackson, Wyoming, heading toward Seattle.

Their move occurs against the wishes of the town council, which debated a plan to confront those responsible for Joel’s death, identified as members of the Washington Liberation Front.

The episode concluding their journey to Seattle also introduced the presence of another group, the Seraphites.

Season 2 consists of seven episodes. After the airing of The Last Of Us Episode 4, three episodes remain. The season finale is scheduled for May 25.
