Singer LeAnn Rimes has stepped down as a coach on The Voice UK after completing one season with the program. Her departure comes as she plans to concentrate on her professional engagements in the United States.
Rimes joined the popular ITV music competition last year. She previously served on the Australian version of the show.
Reports indicate Rimes will take on a role as a mega-mentor for the American iteration of The Voice, working alongside Sheryl Crow.
Her exit prompts the show's producers to search for a new female artist to fill the coaching panel position. The 14th series of the program is scheduled to begin filming later this summer.
Fellow coaches Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher are set to return. This marks Danny Jones' return to television appearances following a publicized incident after the Brit Awards.
They are expected to be joined by long-serving coaches Sir Tom Jones and Will.I.Am.
The Voice UK originally aired on BBC One before moving to ITV in 2017. Over the years, it has featured coaches such as Jessie J, Kylie Minogue, Rita Ora, Olly Murs, and Anne-Marie.
Jones and Fletcher mentored singer Ava Manning to victory in the previous series, securing her a recording contract and a cash prize. They were new additions to the coaching panel alongside LeAnn Rimes for that season.
