The music countdown show 106 & Park will celebrate its 25th anniversary at the 2025 BET Awards, the network announced. The tribute is planned for June 9 in Los Angeles.
The event will feature a reunion of many hosts from the show's history. AJ Calloway, Free, Julissa Bermudez, Keshia Chanté, Rocsi Diaz, and Terrence J are scheduled to appear on stage.
Performances by artists who appeared on the show are also planned. Bow Wow, Amerie, B2K, Jim Jones, Mya, and T.I. are among those expected to perform. Bow Wow, a former host, is also known as Mr. 106 & Park.
The program first aired in September 2000 and ran for 14 years, concluding in December 2014. It became a prominent platform for Hip-Hop and R&B artists and connected with a generation of fans.
The celebration extends beyond the main awards show broadcast. Events are scheduled during BET Experience Fan Fest at the Los Angeles Convention Center on June 7 and 8. These include a reimagined Freestyle Friday Battle and an immersive recreation of the show's set.
Terrence J will honor the program during the Red Carpet Live pre-show on June 9. Bow Wow will also host BET Social Live from the red carpet that day.
