Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith have reached agreement on most terms of their divorce, four years after their marriage. Court documents indicate the couple settled issues including property division, child support, and a temporary custody schedule.

The remaining point of contention is the elementary school for their daughter, Juno, born in April 2020. Jodie Turner-Smith filed for divorce from Jackson in October 2023, citing irreconcilable differences and seeking joint custody.

Jackson later countered the initial petition, proposing a different date of separation and requesting the court terminate spousal support payments.

Court filings from December 2024 alleged Jackson had not paid child or spousal support since the separation news broke. Jodie Turner-Smith claimed she sought $8,543 per month in child support retroactive to her filing date, plus $28,641 per month in temporary spousal support. She also requested funds for legal fees.

Further claims in February 2025 suggested Jackson was attempting to prevent Turner-Smith from having custodial time with their daughter while she was filming. Her attorney, Laura Wasser, stated in a declaration that Jackson had refused time with the child and was allegedly seeking sole legal custody.

Following mediation, the couple established a temporary 50-50 custody schedule for their daughter. Jackson agreed to pay $2,787 per month in child support, according to recent court documents. No monthly spousal support was agreed upon.

However, the dispute over the child's schooling continues. Turner-Smith reportedly requested a court order granting her the authority to select the elementary school, specifically aiming to move their daughter to a new school next year. Jackson has not agreed to this proposal.

Legal documents show Turner-Smith is seeking $75,000 from Jackson to cover legal fees related to the school dispute.

Speaking on his approach to parenting during the divorce, Joshua Jackson expressed the importance of remaining present for his child. “Regardless of how messy the divorce is, beautiful the divorce is, easy \or\ hard the co-parenting is … I think this generation of dads is understanding, like, ‘I need to be here. It’s gonna be hard, but this is important, and I’ve got to do this,’” Jackson said in April 2025. “It’s my job — shared with my ex-wife — to do everything that we can to nurture you, cultivate you and give you all the tools that you need in life.”
