Sadie Sink attended the Met Gala for the first time Monday, arriving at the Metropolitan Museum of Art while appearing on Broadway in John Proctor Is the Villain. Her appearance followed her recent Tony Award nomination for her role in the play.

The actress wore a black gown with a plunging neckline and train over a floral lace wrap for the event, which marked her debut at fashion's largest annual gathering. She completed the look with a hairband and pearl earrings.

The 2025 Met Gala centered on the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” aligning with the museum's spring exhibition exploring Black dandyism and style across centuries. The dress code for attendees was “Tailored for You.”

Sadie Sink was one of multiple actors currently starring in Broadway productions who attended the gala Monday night. Others included Cole Escola, Nicole Scherzinger, Adrienne Warren and Nick Jonas.

At the event, Sink reunited with her Stranger Things co-star, Maya Hawke. Both actresses appeared in the hit Netflix series, which wrapped production on its fifth and final season.

Earlier this month, Sadie Sink received her first Tony Award nomination for best performance by an actress in a leading role in a play. She is recognized for her work in John Proctor Is the Villain, a play about high school girls studying The Crucible.

The nomination follows a period of visibility for Sink, including attending a performance of Stranger Things: The First Shadow on a night off from her own Broadway show.

Sadie Sink also discussed her future plans after the conclusion of Stranger Things, noting her nervousness about the transition but expressing interest in pursuing new projects and potentially producing work. She has been linked to a potential role in an upcoming Spider-Man sequel.

Speaking about her Tony nomination, Sink shared her reaction online. "Woah," she wrote, adding "Thank you to the Wing and the League for this honor. Thank you for embracing and recognizing this show, and for giving me the biggest 'pinch me' moment of my life."
