A letter alleging to be from the legal representative of recording artist and fashion designer Kanye West, also known as Ye, threatening legal action against Kim Kardashian regarding their children was widely reported Friday before being denied by West's camp.

Sources initially reported the letter, sent to Ms. Kardashian's attorney Laura Wasser in Los Angeles, demanded she cease actions that violated Mr. West's parental rights and exploited their children. The document claimed Ms. Kardashian breached their joint custody agreement established in their 2022 divorce settlement.

The letter alleged Ms. Kardashian brought her and West’s 11-year-old daughter, North, to Monday’s Met Gala, where the preteen was reportedly left unattended in a vehicle. It also claimed Ms. Kardashian posted images and videos of North on social media despite Mr. West's objection to his children's presence on platforms like TikTok.

Additionally, the letter stated Mr. West has been denied meaningful access to his children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm West. It claimed he has had no contact with his son Saint in 2025 and that interactions with his other children have been unreasonably restricted.

The alleged demands included Ms. Kardashian stopping unauthorized posting of content featuring the children, removing existing content uploaded without consent, and ending their involvement in public events without Mr. West's approval. The letter threatened seeking sole legal or physical custody if Ms. Kardashian did not comply, seeking "unimpeded access" starting with immediate visitation.

However, a spokesperson for Yeezy, Mr. West's company, stated to Page Six in an exclusive statement the letter was fraudulent. "The letter is quite obviously fraudulent... You fell for a hoax," the spokesperson said, referencing initial reporting by other outlets. The fraudulent letter was reportedly sent from a lawyer in Spain who does not appear to exist.

The claim that Mr. West hasn’t “seen Saint this year.” was previously disputed by obtained paparazzi photos showing him with his three youngest children in Japan in January. Sources close to Ms. Kardashian have previously indicated Mr. West rarely asks to see the children and has not been denied access when he does. They state Ms. Kardashian prioritizes the children's safety and avoids chaotic situations.

In recent months, Ye gone on a slew of disturbing social media rants, including a claim he had an incestuous relationship with his male cousin. He also reportedly began selling swastika-printed T-shirts and made degrading comments about his wife, Bianca Censori, who wore a completely sheer “dress” to the 2025 Grammy Awards red carpet.

Reps for Ms. Kardashian did not provide comment.
