Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper recently spent spring break together with their children, visiting theme parks in Florida. The longtime friends took their families to both Disney World and Universal Studios for what Cohen described as an "epic" vacation.
Cohen documented parts of the trip on social media. On Saturday, April 19, he shared a photo on Instagram showing himself and Anderson Cooper on the TRON Lightcycle/Run ride at Magic Kingdom. Cohen called the trip the "ultimate family vacation."
Another post featured a sweet clip of Cohen's daughter Lucy interacting with costumed characters. Lucy, who will turn three later this month, was seen hugging Daisy Duck.
The interaction prompted Cohen to make a playful comparison to the drama often seen on his network. He captioned the video suggesting that if Lucy and Daisy Duck could resolve things, perhaps others could too.
Anderson Cooper is father to two sons, Wyatt Morgan Maisani-Cooper, born in 2020, and Sebastian Luke Maisani-Cooper, born in 2022. Cohen is also a father of two, with son Benjamin Allen Cohen, age 6, and daughter Lucy Eve Cohen.
The two television personalities have maintained a close friendship for over two decades. They initially met when a mutual friend attempted to set them up on a blind date, which did not lead to a romantic connection.
Their friendship has included vacationing together and co-hosting CNN's New Year's Eve coverage since 2017. With both now fathers, they share the experience of raising young children.
Cohen has previously spoken about observing the behavior of Anderson Cooper's children during family time. He noted that Cooper's sons seemed consistently well-behaved, which he jokingly found "annoying" compared to his own children's occasional need for discipline.
Parenthood has added a new dimension to their bond. Cohen reflected in 2022 on sharing the experience with Cooper.
"We are these geriatric patients hobbling around chasing our children, but look, it's another bonding thing," Cohen said on the "Table for Two" podcast.
