The partnership between Emirates and flydubai carried five million passengers over the last year, marking a 36% increase compared to the prior year. The milestone highlights the growth of their collaboration, which began in 2017.

Since its start, the partnership has served more than 22 million customers across their combined networks. This alliance aims to streamline travel and enhance Dubai's connectivity.

Supporting Dubai's D33 vision to become a major economic center, Emirates and flydubai are working to position the city as one of the most connected globally. They plan to add 400 destinations to its foreign trade and tourism map.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Group and Chairman of flydubai, stated the partnership has been a positive development for both carriers. He noted its role in providing more flight choices and an improved experience for travelers, supported by a wide network that connects various parts of the world.

Sheikh Ahmed expressed pride in the accomplishments so far and looked forward to future growth and the impact of both Emirates and flydubai on enhancing Dubai's connectivity and shaping air travel.

The joint network has grown from 29 cities in 2017 to 240 destinations across more than 100 countries today. This expansion is complemented by easier connections at Dubai Airport with access to Terminal 3.

Customers can choose from an average of 295 codeshare flights daily, providing wider schedules and more flexibility in departure times. Over 330 weekly flights operated by flydubai depart Terminal 3 to destinations including Zanzibar, Kathmandu, Krabi, Riyadh, and Naples. Emirates customers can access over 132 flydubai destinations, while flydubai passengers can reach over 142 Emirates destinations.

Demand for premium cabins has also grown by 31%, according to the carriers. This indicates strong passenger preference for the product offerings from both airlines.

In the past year, Emirates introduced flights to Bogota, Colombia, and Antananarivo in Madagascar. flydubai announced 10 new cities, including Antalya, Basel, and Al Alamein, for the summer season.

The loyalty program, Emirates Skywards, allows its over 35 million members worldwide to earn and redeem Miles on all flights operated by both airlines.

Tickets for the joint network flights can be booked through various channels, including the airlines' websites, apps, retail stores, contact centers, and travel agents.

"The Emirates and flydubai partnership has been a gamechanger for both carriers," Sheikh Ahmed said. "It is a testament to collaborative excellence that has delivered more flight options and a better experience for travellers, underpinned by a vast network that connects every corner of the globe."
