Breeze Airways is adding multiple routes from airports in North Carolina, New York and Louisiana this fall, according to announcements made this week. The expansion includes new nonstop service to destinations on the East Coast and in Florida.

At Raleigh-Durham International Airport, the airline is adding nonstop flights to Key West, Florida, and Manchester, New Hampshire. Service to Key West begins Oct. 3, while flights to Manchester start Nov. 6. Lukas Johnson, chief commercial officer for Breeze Airways, stated the new routes bring the airline's total destinations from RDU to 28, marking the most destinations offered by any airline at the airport.

The additions come as RDU experiences growth, handling a record 15.5 million passengers last year. Michael J. Landguth, president and CEO of the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority, discussed ongoing airport expansion projects aimed at accommodating increased traffic and new services.

In Rochester, New York, Breeze Airways announced two additional destinations from Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport. Travelers will gain new service to Tampa, Florida, and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The Tampa route starts Oct. 1, and the Myrtle Beach route begins Oct. 2.

These routes supplement existing service from Rochester, which include Charleston, South Carolina, Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, New Orleans, Louisiana, and Orlando, Florida. The new additions bring Breeze's total destinations served from Rochester to six.

From its hub at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, Breeze Airways is launching a new route to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and resuming service to Savannah, Georgia. Flights to Myrtle Beach begin Sept. 4, operating on Thursdays and Sundays. The Savannah route resumes Sept. 5 with flights on Mondays and Fridays.

Kevin Dolliole, Director of Aviation at Louis Armstrong International Airport, welcomed the new and resumed routes, noting they provide area residents with access to popular coastal destinations. He also highlighted Breeze's continued expansion in the New Orleans market.

Breeze Airways was founded by airline entrepreneur David Neeleman and commenced operations in 2021. The carrier focuses on providing low-cost service on routes often not served by other airlines.
