Nebraska Volleyball began its spring exhibition schedule with a sweep over Kansas on Saturday night. The match marked the first for the team under head coach Dani Busboom Kelly. A sold out crowd of 8,592 attended the match at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.

The teams agreed to play four sets regardless of the score after the first three. Nebraska won all four sets with scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-21, and 25-22.

Several players contributed to the offensive effort. Andi Jackson and Rebekah Allick each recorded 11 kills and four blocks. Jackson hit .556 for the match, while Allick hit .524.

Freshman Ryan Hunter also totaled 11 kills in her first appearance as a Husker, hitting .563. Harper Murray added 10 kills. Teraya Sigler finished with six kills and Taylor Landfair had four kills.

Setters Bergen Reilly and Campbell Flynn split setting duties. Reilly distributed 19 assists and recorded eight digs, while Flynn had 23 assists and three digs.

The libero position saw time from both Laney Choboy and Olivia Mauch, each wearing the jersey for two sets. Choboy led the team with 18 digs. Mauch added 12 digs. Keri Leimbach contributed an ace in the fourth set.

Nebraska finished the match hitting .285 as a team, compared to Kansas' .214. The Huskers recorded eight blocks and six aces. Kansas had four blocks and four aces. A recap of the match is available. Recap

The team will play their next spring match on Saturday against South Dakota State in Ord, Nebraska. The upcoming season opens at Pinnacle Bank Arena for the AVCA First Serve Showcase.

Head coach Dani Busboom Kelly reflected on the event following the match.
