Paris Saint-Germain forward Khvicha Kvaratskhelia spoke about his quick adjustment to the French club as they prepare for their UEFA Champions League semi-final against Arsenal. Kvaratskhelia joined PSG from Napoli in January and has made important contributions to the team's progress in the competition.

The 24-year-old Georgian international discussed the challenges of joining a team mid-season. He noted the limited time for adaptation but felt he settled well due to the support from the staff, coaches, club, and players. He highlighted the welcoming environment that helped him feel comfortable quickly.

Before his move to Paris, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia gained prominence at Napoli, where he played a key role in their Serie A title win in his debut season. His impact there earned him the nickname "Kvaradona," a comparison to club legend Diego Maradona.

Kvaratskhelia praised PSG coach Luis Enrique, emphasizing the manager's humanity and respectful treatment of players. He stated that this approach motivates players to give their best for the coach, the club, and the fans.

Speaking about the attacking options at PSG, Kvaratskhelia acknowledged the quality of his teammates, including Désiré Doué, Ousmane Dembélé, and Bradley Barcola. He said having skilful players around him creates chances and makes the team dangerous. He also mentioned the healthy competition within the squad pushes everyone to perform better.

PSG acquired Kvaratskhelia for a reported fee of €70 million (£60m) in January. Several Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, and Newcastle United, had shown prior interest in the winger. The transfer fee to PSG was significantly lower than figures previously quoted by Napoli.

Reports suggest Kvaratskhelia's previous contract situation at Napoli, where he remained on his initial low salary despite his performances, contributed to his desire for a move. His emergence from Georgia and past time in Russia were also factors some clubs considered during scouting.

As PSG faces Arsenal in the Champions League semi-final first leg, Kvaratskhelia is viewed by observers as a player the English side must control to advance.

Kvaratskhelia called the Champions League the "biggest tournament in football" and a dream for every player to compete in and win. He expressed confidence in PSG's ability.

He said, "We have so many quality attackers – it's what makes us one of the most dangerous sides in world football today."
