Benfica takes the field today against Estoril Praia as the I Liga title race continues. The Lisbon side enters the matchday level on points with league leader Sporting CP, aiming for a win to apply pressure.

Manager Bruno Lage confirmed the starting eleven for the game at Estádio António Coimbra da Mota.

The announced Benfica lineup includes Trubin in goal, Tomás Araujo, António Silva, Otamendi, and Dahl in defense. Florentino and Aursnes start in midfield, with Amdouni, Kokçu, and Akturkoglu supporting Pavlidis up front.

Benfica sees the return of Florentino to the squad after suspension. However, Álvaro Carreras misses the fixture, serving a suspension after receiving a yellow card in the previous match.

Discussing player status, Bruno Lage mentioned Carreras' situation, noting recent reports of interest from Spanish clubs Atlético de Madrid and Real Madrid.

Estoril Praia, coached by Ian Cathro, also named their starting lineup. Robles, Kevin Boma, Pedro Álvaro, and Bacher form the defense. Pedro Carvalho, Vinicius Zanocelo, Jandro, and Pedro Amaral are in midfield. Begraoui, André, and João Carvalho lead the attack.

Estoril Praia sits in eighth place in the standings, having secured their position in the I Liga for next season.

Ahead of the match, Bruno Lage commented on its significance.

Benfica's starting XI for the Estoril - Benfica contest is set to kickoff at 8:30 PM local time.

Benfica's preparations this week included training sessions ahead of the Estoril fixture.

"It’s an important game, it’s not decisive," Lage said.
