Paul Heyman, representing Seth Rollins, challenged World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso on Monday night’s edition of Raw on Netflix. Heyman confronted Uso at the CHI Health Center, stating that Rollins seeks the championship for power and control.

Uso had opened the show calling out Logan Paul when Heyman interrupted. Heyman used the opportunity to address recent events, referencing situations involving CM Punk and his longtime association with Roman Reigns.

Heyman explained that he was placed in an impossible position regarding Punk at WrestleMania and defended his actions related to Reigns, saying Uso had betrayed the Tribal Chief before he ever did. He expressed frustration at being blamed for circumstances beyond his control.

Turning his attention to Uso, Heyman stated that phase one of their plan involved Bron Breakker. Phase two, Heyman said, is the World Heavyweight Championship currently held by Uso.

Heyman issued a challenge for the title on behalf of Rollins. He cited Rollins's victory over Reigns and Punk at WrestleMania 41 as justification for the challenge.

Uso accepted the challenge for a match against Rollins later the same night.

The event took place five days before the Backlash 2025 premium live event scheduled for Saturday. Several matches for Backlash were highlighted throughout the broadcast.

Rollins, Heyman, and Bron Breakker have been appearing together on Raw in recent weeks. Heyman's challenge outlines their immediate goal regarding the World Heavyweight Championship.

The segment marked a direct confrontation between Uso and the spokesperson for his challenger, setting the stage for the main event of the night.
