Isaac TeSlaa, a former quarterback who helped lead Unity Christian High School to a state football title, is projected as a likely selection in the upcoming NFL Draft 2025: What to watch for as picks come in. His path to professional football began in the Wing-T offense and transitioned through two college programs.

TeSlaa played quarterback for Unity Christian before converting to wide receiver at Hillsdale College, a Division II program. After two seasons there, he entered the transfer portal and committed to the Arkansas Razorbacks in Division I.

During his time at Arkansas, TeSlaa recorded 62 receptions over two years, including 28 catches for 545 yards and three touchdowns in 2024. He averaged 19.5 yards per catch during his senior year.

His performance at the Unity Christian alum shines during NFL Combine performance elevated his draft standing. He ran a 4.43-second 40-yard dash and posted a 39.5-inch vertical leap. His Relative Athletic Score registered 9.97 out of 10, ranking among the top wide receivers tested since 1987. the 16th highest for a wide receiver since 1987.

Isaac TeSlaa trained with his father, Mark TeSlaa, a former college wide receiver himself, to learn the position's details after playing quarterback in high school. His father set up drills and worked with him, especially during the time available during COVID-19.

NFL teams have shown interest in TeSlaa, noting his size at 6-foot-4, 215 pounds, and reliable hands. He has met with multiple teams, including a visit with the Detroit Lions organization. Some analysts suggest teams should consider drafting him. Michael DeVito wrote that the New England Patriots, in need of size at wide receiver, should look to add TeSlaa on Day 3 of the draft. DeVito wrote about TeSlaa's athleticism combined with his frame.

If drafted, Isaac TeSlaa would be the first player from Unity Christian High School selected in the NFL Draft. He recently returned to the school for a community event, signing autographs and answering questions.

Isaac TeSlaa stated his focus is on performing well once he joins a team, regardless of when or where he is picked.

“The mindset is just being happy with wherever I end up and it doesn’t matter the round or the pick number,” TeSlaa said. “It’s all about what I do after that. It’s all about putting the work in no matter where I end up and proving that I deserve to be out there.”
