Formula 1 president and CEO Stefano Domenicali said seeing young Italian driver kimi antonelli race for Ferrari would be a "really beautiful" story.

Speaking on Italian radio, Domenicali expressed his desire for the Scuderia to have a driver who serves as a role model for young fans, suggesting kimi antonelli could fulfill that role.

"Kimi Antonelli in Ferrari? An Italian driver in an Italian car," Domenicali stated. "We need a driver who... represents a reference figure for young people."

Former Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo also praised kimi antonelli, though he regrets the teenager is currently with Mercedes.

Di Montezemolo told Sky Italy he would not necessarily sign an 18-year-old directly to Ferrari but would have placed him with an engine customer team like Sauber first.

Mercedes promoted the teenage sensation kimi antonelli to Formula 1 for the 2025 season as the replacement for Lewis Hamilton.

Hamilton moved to Ferrari after realizing a childhood dream, but his early races have been mixed compared to teammate Charles Leclerc.

Domenicali acknowledged that Mercedes boss Toto Wolff would likely disagree with any suggestion of Antonelli moving to Ferrari given Mercedes' investment in his career.

Describing kimi antonelli as an "extraordinary young man" with appealing values, Domenicali predicted the driver will become a significant figure in the sport.

Both Leclerc and Hamilton hold multi-year contracts with Ferrari, meaning any potential move for kimi antonelli would likely be several years away, should discussions ever materialize.
