Oscar Piastri won the Miami Grand Prix on Sunday, leading a McLaren one-two finish ahead of teammate Lando Norris. The victory marked Piastri's fourth win of the season and extended his lead in the F1 Standings.

Piastri started fourth on the grid and navigated early race events to move into position. Norris, starting second, briefly challenged pole-sitter Max Verstappen before falling back.

Piastri passed Andrea Kimi Antonelli for second place on Lap 4. Norris recovered positions, reaching third place by Lap 9.

Both McLaren drivers then closed on Verstappen. Piastri passed the reigning champion on Lap 14 after Verstappen ran wide. Norris overtook Verstappen on Lap 18.

Once the McLarens held the top two positions, they controlled the race pace. Piastri managed the gap to Norris over the second half of the event.

George Russell secured third place for Mercedes. Russell benefited from a virtual safety car period to make a pit stop, allowing him to rejoin ahead of Verstappen.

Verstappen finished fourth after pitting under normal racing conditions. The result saw him lose points to Piastri in the championship race.

Alex Albon finished fifth for Williams, matching his best result of the season. Andrea Kimi Antonelli placed sixth.

Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton finished seventh and eighth after racing on different tire strategies. Carlos Sainz was ninth, and Yuki Tsunoda took the final point in 10th for Red Bull.

Piastri reflected on the race afterward. "I won the race that I really wanted to after a tricky day on Saturday," Piastri said. "To come away with a win is an impressive result."

Norris also commented on the race, particularly his battle with Verstappen. "I paid the price, but it's the way it is," Norris said. "But it is the way it is with Max, it's crash or don't pass." Piastri wins from Norris in Miami to extend lead
