The Los Angeles Rams signed Britain Covey, a wide receiver and punt returner, to a one-year contract on Monday.

Covey, 28, previously played for the Philadelphia Eagles for three seasons, primarily handling punt return duties.

In his time with Philadelphia, Britain Covey returned 68 punts for 771 yards across 38 games. He led the NFL in punt return yards during the 2023 season with 417 yards.

Covey also returned 11 kickoffs for 236 yards while a member of the Eagles.

He entered the NFL in 2022 as an undrafted free agent signee by the Eagles out of the University of Utah.

Covey was set to be a restricted free agent this offseason, but the Eagles opted not to offer him a tender, making him an unrestricted free agent. The team has since signed other players with return experience.His playing time was limited to five games in 2024 due to injuries, including issues with his shoulder and neck.

Beyond his return role, Covey recorded 11 catches for 76 yards during his Eagles tenure, which included four postseason appearances.
