Royal Challengers Bengaluru star Virat Kohli recently shared his thoughts on potential roommates from his IPL team during an event. He indicated a preference for wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma but ruled out sharing a room with young batter Swastik Chikara.

Kohli explained his reluctance regarding Swastik Chikara, who joined the team as a newcomer and often stays close to the senior player. Chikara has garnered social media attention for his frequent presence around Kohli, even drawing humorous comparisons.

"Because he does not leave me alone, so, definitely not him," Kohli said about Chikara during the event, according to coverage of his remarks.

Swastik Chikara previously played for Delhi Capitals and represents Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket. Despite his notable performances elsewhere, he has not yet made his IPL debut for RCB this season.

In contrast, Virat Kohli expressed interest in rooming with Jitesh Sharma. He praised Sharma's personality and observed intelligence on the field.

Sharma, acquired by RCB for Rs 11 crore at the mega auction, has played for the team this season. He has scored 121 runs in seven innings with a best score of 40 not out.

"One guy I think is really funny, but he has not opened up with me properly, is Jitesh Sharma," Kohli said. "I want to see that really fun, raw side of him because I can see it in his eyes; he has that mischief about him. He is very street smart; you can see on the field that he finds different ways of looking at things. So, I would like to get to know him more."

Virat Kohli remains a prominent player for RCB and in the IPL. He is currently among the highest-run-scorers in the season, contributing significantly to the team's performance. His form includes multiple half-centuries.

RCB is performing well in the current IPL season, positioned favorably in the points table. The team is working towards their goal of securing their first IPL trophy.
